Rare Antique Silk Worm Net
Antique lacquered net. This net was used in sericulture, the production of silk through the processing of silk worms. The net would be laid over mulberry leaves, silk worms food of choice, and when they reached the stage where they were to make their cocoons, the silkworms could be easily transferred, as they were too big to pass through the net.
