Nobori - Boy's Day Banner
Hand-painted nobori 幟 (banner) with the image of Takenouchi no Sukune, the legendary hero and Shinto kami 神 (diety). He is said to have lived upwards of 280 years and served six monarchs. He accompanied Empress Jingu on an expedition to Korea and upon his return he became the guardian to the empress' son, the future Emperor Ojin.
