Hand sewn cotton indigo dyed furoshiki 風呂敷 (wrapping cloth). Tsutsugaki 筒描 (resist dyed technique) was used to create the images. The game of 'Kai-awase', a matching game involving shells, is depicted on the front along with a family crest in the bottom right hand corner.  Wear consistent with age.  This piece was backed and giving tab so it is ready for display.
