The cape is reversibleĀ with Kasuri on one side and Shima striped indigo on the other.Ā Originally kakishibu persimmon treated paper was sewn in the middle to stop the wind and rain.Ā Kasuriļ»æĀ ēµ£ is the Japanese style of ikat, where the threads of the material are resist-dyed before being woven. Ā This process was first practiced in the 12th Century.Ā The interior paper is mostly broken from washing.Ā
