Hand Woven and Hand sewnĀ uchikakeĀ ę‰“ꎛ (ceremonial robe worn over kimono and left open in front.Ā  During the Edo and Meiji periods, this was an extravagance most people could not afford. Today they are typically only worn during weddings. This uchikake features a gold and black silk pine & crane pattern and has an iridescent blue silk lining with a weighted hem.Ā  It is my opinion that the lining is a more recent replacement.Ā  Ā Overall the condition is very good.Ā
