A futaoki (蓋置), or lid/ladle rest. This futaoki is made of glazed ceramic and bears hand-painted portrayals of Kiri leaf and flower along with Mum. The kiri leaf was symbolic of the Edo Shogunate and the Mum was associated with the Imperial line.
